Get to Know Us
It started with a question: why are life-saving detection tools so inaccessible, and why aren’t more young people taught how to build them?
After developing NOMA AI, an artificial-intelligence tool for early skin cancer detection, and THORACIS AI, which explores lung cancer detection through breathing sounds and microwave imaging, it became clear this work couldn’t stop at a single project or competition.
DetectED was founded to turn youth curiosity into action: equipping young innovators with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to understand disease, build early-stage detection technologies, and reimagine who gets to shape the future of healthcare.

Anie Udofia
Founder + Innovator
Anie Udofia is a young medical-technology innovator and co-founder of DetectED. She developed NOMA AI for skin cancer detection and is currently working on THORACIS AI to explore new approaches to lung cancer detection. Her work focuses on empowering youth to create impactful health technologies.
